Our program, Broadway Bootcamp, offers a supportive and fun environment where young performers can unleash their creativity and shine brightly. From learning the basics of performance to putting on a full, final production, every moment will be filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

Our young performers will be responsible for memorizing lines and staging while bringing their characters to life in our final performance of Hansel and Gretel. Join us and let your imagination take center stage!

Meet the Instructor:

Italian-American Mezzo-soprano, Victoria Isernia, is known for her sultry Mezzo voice, 'good acting instincts,' and being 'engaging to watch' (Utah Theatre Bloggers). Upcoming engagements include role debuts as Mrs. Nolan in Menotti's The Medium and Musetta in La Boheme with Amelia Island Opera. Most recently, Isernia sang the role of Autumn in a production of John De Los Santos' Service Provider, directed by the librettist himself. Isernia also saw a return to Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre for their 2023 Season performing the roles of Bet in Oliver! (Nancy Cover), Page in Lohengrin and The Lady in the Balcony (Mrs. Gibbs Cover) in Rorem's Our Town.

Equally at home on the operatic stage as the musical theater stage, her credits include a versatile mix of both. Isernia has been a Resident Artist with Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre from 2020- 2023. Past performances with them have included The Magic Flute (Third Lady), She Loves Me (Ilona Cover) in 2020 and a role debut as Carmen and Mercedes in Carmen in their 2022 season.

Isernia is a graduate of the prestigious Manhattan School of Music where she studied under the tutelage of Maitland Peters. While there she performed in Dido & Aeneas (Dido), L’incoronazione di Poppea (Nerone), both under the direction of world-renowned Soprano, Catherine Malfitano, and Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen (Forrester’s Wife/ Cricket).

A frequent performer of Gilbert & Sullivan’s works, Isernia has been featured in The Mikado (Pitti-Sing) with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, Patience (Lady Jane) and The Gondoliers (Tessa). Assorted scene work includes Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Mercedes in Carmen and Third Woodsprite in Rusalka. In 2013 she made her Lincoln Center debut under the baton of Maestro Alan Gilbert in the choir of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony along with the NY Philharmonic.

Some of her Musical Theater credits include Disney’s Beauty & the Beast (Belle), Bye, Bye Birdie (Kim), Hairspray (Velma Von Tussle), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rona),  and most recently, Sarah in Stephen Sondheim’s Company with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival.
